Not that I'm aware of. I have personally never seen a mis-spelled hoya product. But again, I never purchased hoya HD. Only seen from frd purchase. For the money I usually just pick hmc unless I can find cheap second hand filter in good condition. Posted via RS Mobile
fuk the slim profile is such ah PITA to take off. I got it really stuck the first time i attached it which is to a stepdown ring i got as well. Had to grip the ring with pliers and fuk up the thread slightly. The glass is AWESOME though. super finger print resistant and is very transparent compared to other CPL's.
BARELY any vignetting on a 16-35L stacked with a Super HMC UV.
CPL makes a ton of difference when shooting outdoors when the sun/clouds are out.
I almost never take my CPLs off even shooting indoors. I find that it helps minimize reflection on glass when shooting from the inside out.
bought my Hoya HD CPL 58mm for $66 all in!!! came in 4 working days from hong kong!!! soo fast.. couldnt believe it was already here, also my knock off battery grip came in which seems to be decent quality
