^what does that have to do with it?

I'm talking about the band, drill, and professionalism. I'm not talking about drum solo's and people sticking their chins up at each other looking like their going to make out.

all the trash talk aside, I actually thought about switching over to the navy side of things just for kicks. I always wanted to learn how to sail. Of course, it's a completely different side system, but I haven't dismissed the idea.

I was in 655 from 1992 until 1997. I aged out as a F/Sgt and went to the following courses:

92 - Basic, CFB Penhold
93 - Basic Band, CFB Penhold
94 - 6 week Band, CFB penhold
95 - SLC, Cold Lake
97 - Space Course (don't remember the exact name), Somewhere in Quebec

I was in 655 when the Squadron went from a small squadron to one of the largest in the province. Along the way I was part of the band that went from B Division to A Division Champions. I was also on the drill team that won a couple times and the First Aid team that won once.

Overall I had a phenomenal experience there and if it were not for cadets I never would have gotten to see a lot of Canada, go to Japan, Hong Kong & New Zealand.

Koflach 05-10-2010 08:33 PM

Oh yeah, I was also a Civilian instructor for two years at 111 Pegasus in the early 2000's

Seems like 655-ers have headed over to 111 after aging-out for a long time...

Was that also the time when Kent Neville was in 655?

Yeah, I was in cadets at the same time as Kent. He was one year ahead of me but we are the same age. I joined cadets one year late. I went over to 111 because I lived in Vancouver (even when I was going to 655) and because I knew the CO at 111 as he and I were at 655 together. Other than he and I there were no other 655'ers at 111 at the time.
