Warning ticket equal to points ??????

So i got a ticket for driving contrary to restriction today but the officer had crossed it off on the ticket and wrote WARNING ONLY, and i was wondering if it will still count as 3 points towards my driver license.

No. Warnings do not carry points.

But don't be a moron and follow all the requirements as a newbie driver. =)

All right thanks man, could an officer please confirm this. I would really appreciate it.

I had 3 points from before then just recently an officer gave me a violation ticket, but crossed it off and wrote warning only. The only thing is i got a letter in the mail today stating that my license would be suspended for 2 months. If i had known this "warning ticket" had counted for points i would have disputed it.

Also the police officer spelled contrary wrong, he spelled it contratry, and im wondering if that could change anything, i know its past the dispute date and do i have any chance of disputing this still.

Warning = no fine, no punishment other than the officers words = no points.

It bothers me slightly that you aren't able to understand the concept of a "warning", but are operating a vehicle.

The letter is likely due to the previous offence.

If the ticket wasn't being given as a warning, the extra "t" wouldn't make a difference.

If it had been forwarded to Court Services for processing as a VT it would have been rejected by them and sent back to the issuing Member. Some guys write "warning" across a VT and then toss the rest of the VT...I found it easier to use a Notice and Order" and write in the open lines below the box 3. Less confusing that way for everyone.
