now im curious would it work? most of the compustar alarm does it by-pass the stock alarm? when i arm my car, both stock LED and compustar LED still flashes.

help>?

It shouldn't affect your current situation if the Compustar is correctly integrated into the factory system, unless you use the buttons on the new key fob to arm/disarm your factory alarm while the Compustar is armed.
The compustar alarm should arm/disarm the factory alarm to prevent false alarming of either.

thanks phil

now should i / will i still need to program the new fob? even if i do not use the button on the new fob? since im going to be using the 2 way pager.

Is all thats required is remove the chip inside my old key, move it to the new fob, buy the fob, and rekey it than im good to go? So i do not have to worry about the programing?

You need to program the immobilizer in your key. Otherwise you won't be able to start the car with the key. You don't need to program the buttons but you might as well if you have to program the immobilizer in the key.

got it, so i will still need to pay $70 for the dealership to reprogram than hmm

it'd be kinda odd that i have to remotes with me lol

i can open the car with my OEM switch blade clicker, as well as compustar lollll
