Question on a ticket.

So I was stopped a little over a year ago and while it wasnlt for anything related to speed or dangerous driving I did receive a ticket. I was given a ticket for "not OEM standard headlights" and "cut and widened exhaust". The attending Officer was actually really nice but suggested I dispute it(hidden meaning?).
So here is my question. I disputed it but still haven't received a notice for when to attend court. Any thoughts? Ideas how to approach it? Thanks for everyones input in advance.

How long ago did you send in your notice?

A few weeks after I was given the ticket and I got the ticket on April 1st (I was hoping it was an april fools joke)

If the notice arrived more than 30 days after April 1, you were probably deemed convicted. Best that you follow up on it as you should have received a notice long ago.

Have you renewed insurance since then ? If i remember correctly you cant renew if you have outstanding tickets.

I know I didn't go past the 30 day mark. But I will follow up thanks skidmark. As for insurance I got new insurance in december. Skidmark where should I go to follow up? Call ICBC or the detachment where I was given the ticket? And will this impeed my chances of becoming an cop?

The Violation Ticket Center would be a good start.
