Yes.

It sucks these older cars had such big wheel wells that you have to slam them to look good - yet slamming them is going to draw the attention of the cops.

Put it on bags, then you can raise it when the cops are near.

Your car isn't even stock.

vo_hantu 05-04-2010 11:03 AM

Sorry to hear man. Any chance you can use a different car on your trips to Richmond instead?

PDA_86 05-04-2010 02:51 PM

Hm, darn, I was just considering whether or not to put on TRD Lowering Springs to my car. Lowers the front end by 0.5" and 1.5" in the rear. As long as the car is taller than the bottom of rim, it's fine, right?

Any part of the car cannot be lower than the lowest part of the rim.

You should be fine with TRD springs since its a dealer option?

I know honda offers the hfp suspension kit for the civics.

How in the fuck can he "raise the charges" if you dispute it? That makes no sense... Dispute that, you said the cop physically put his fingers inbetween the wheel well and your tires... Well how in the hell can he do that if your tires are rubbing?

Stop bending over backwards for the cop, the tow low one might be a little trickier to get away with but saying your tires are rubbing when they're not makes no logical sense.

Unless i'm missing something here about vi's...

Confiscated papers... threatening to raise charges... wtf??

Haha let us know when your court date is if you dispute, and where. I want to see!

optiblue 05-04-2010 08:25 PM

The thing with Richmond RCMP is that they mainly check for lowering, illegal lights, loud exhausts, and lately sharp edges (canyards and splitters). I think I'll stick to stock height :x

Sucks to hear dude...I saw your car twice this weekend; I was in a white cube with a family sticker on the rear window....love the fitment.

Entrance to no.6 road? Where abouts is this? (for us richmond noobs)

I stay out of Richmond at all costs. The only reason I will, is to go to Garage 5. Even then, I try to 'sneak attack' my way in :lol ... usually getting off the 91 at no.6 rd :(

Fuck the cops, but we can't win unfortunately lol.
My cars hella slammed and tucked right now, I feel sketched wherever I go.

Planning to buy a stock car haha -_-"

GabAlmighty 05-05-2010 01:11 PM

And nammer, cops are cops. In court they can't just "raise the fine" for showing up, that's ludicrous. You have the right to dispute it, so dispute it.

I'll roll up to the court date.

Grim 05-05-2010 03:35 PM

most cops are dickheads anyways.
one time this rcmp pulled over my friend when he did absolutely nothing. Gave ME! *passenger* a no seat belt ticket when I DID HAVE IT ON!
he dragged me outta the car and just gave it to me blahh long story...
i hate cops. ARHGHHH!
