Yup my office is right at the creek and we are all looking out the window and saw it. Coast guard and VPD are on site as we speak.

I only caught a view of it's tail when it was going back into the water though. Last week there wasa beaver here too lol.

Orca had to make an appearence because the Nucks are back in town.

Maybe it's a baby.. but most whales are massive. Are thinking of Blue whales? Because those are freaking massive.

According to Wikipedia,
Gray whales, up to 52 ft
Blue whales, up to 108 ft

fo sho.

haha it's pretty rad how an Orca just so happens to swim by GM place the day we play.

Mang having the office under the Cambie St bridge you see stuff in the waters all the time, seals, beavers, and now whales.

A gray whale has made its way into Vancouver's False Creek, according to the B.C. Coast Guard.

Spokesman Dan Bate said the whale was spotted at around noon Wednesday and the coast guard was on scene monitoring its movement.

"A crew from Kitsilano was tasked to keep an eye on it and ensure there was no interference from other boaters," he said.

Authorities expect the whale to make its own way out of the area, Bate added.

Witnesses reported seeing the mammal swimming near the Cambie Street Bridge.

lol

That is never a good sign when a whale comes close to shore like this. If I remember correctly it usually means that its sick.

Is the vpd there to taze it in case it trespasses?

more likely there to give the whale a ticket for going faster than the 5knots allowed.

Well atm there are constantly people flooding into my work area at the end of Spyglass Place (under Cambie Street Bridge) There's parking available here so it's a good starting point, otherwise other areas will be mroe difficult to find parking. Also the thing is the Whale seems to be going back and forth so you just gotta pick a starting point and go towards where the Helicopters adn Coast Guard is
