I recently added a fuel system to my car, and dual pumps. I have a car audio system including (2 kicker 550.3, 2 12" mb qaurt subz, 2 pairs of components).
I finally started it the other day and drove it around and noticed that my fuel pressure gauge will drop everytime the bass hits. It will do this a lot when at idle or a red light. As i drive with load not as much but you can still see the needle going up and down.
I have a 4 gauge wire from battery going to a dist block, than to my amps..
I have a single 8 gauge wire from battery to dist block to relays, to my fuel pumps.
Now im not sure if the fuel pressure is actually dropping, or if the pumps are noticing any type of voltage drop when the bass hits.
My question is, how can i check to c if the pups are getting affected by the bass??
And would adding a capacitor fix this problem, or is a bigger alternator the only solution. Stock is 100 amps
P.S Who is good at tuning the Alpine CDA-9835, hehe, i cant get this system to sound right with this deck. |
