ttt still looking anyone locally do these for under $400 taxed in?

Mugen EvOlutioN 05-21-2010 12:11 PM

$369 x 1.10 visa exchange rate, 1.06 duty, 1.12 taxes (possible shipping), lets say no shipping

$481 already

and you want it for $400?

lol

good luck pal

Thanks tips! However that 369 is from one vendor, many others are listed at 329 shipped! They are also willing to invoice them at 200 to save of duties/taxes!

Thanks for the useless post, nothing new tho.

Take it easy, next time pm if you have something to say

how is it useless when im pointing out the 3 things we get homoed on, it really affects the canadian prices vs US market

even if its $329 shipped, exchange rate plus 12% taxes is already $405. Duty say ($200) is $12 bux = $417
we get owned either way

o well

mj_39 05-21-2010 06:13 PM

wouldnt the 12% tax be on the invoiced amount? not what i actually paid.

this was my break down $329x1.10(exchange, however I have a US M/C)=$362

invoiced at $200 so taxes and duties would be what 18% correct? $200x1.18=$236

so wouldnt it be $362+$36(taxes/duties)=$398

however you are right we do get owned!

z-tune came very close to this pricing, they were always great about passing the savings to there customers, they were selling most parts at us pricing and customers didnt have to worry about duties either.

My price at $398 or even yours at $417 id be happy to pay, however im pretty sure thats not going to happen haha so i guess ill be having them shipped to point roberts.

I like supporting our local vendors and thats why i loved z-tune, but if im saving $80-100 just on this part, i would be crazy not to make the short drive to point roberts to pick it up!

it SUX but that's how i think it will remain for most, as long as our dollor stays strong! I think our local vendors will suffer until pricing becomes at least competitive, however in most cases they cant do anything about that.

got it

thx for the explaination
