Does anyone have a Paint Thickness Meter? I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to lend their paint thickness meter for 3 days? I have 2 cars I want to detail, one new, one old, and I want to know the thickness of both as a reference as they are my personal cars. I'm also curious as to how much polishing takes away, I know its roughly 1-2 microns, but nothing beats real-life experience. I'm an avid detailer, I've done paint correction more than my fingers can count, but I can't justify spending $250+ when I'm probably only going to use it once. I'll come pick it up and drop it off when I'm done, as for compensation goes I would offer a 6-pack of your favorite beer? Or whatever you feel is reasonably necessary. Thanks! |
