Wow, you go there, too?

When I moved to North Burnaby, I discovered the place driving around the new neighbourhood. They seem to take long vacations. They don't open on Sundays, which is weird for a Chinese place. Then again, Lucky Bakery on 22nd and Rupert closes on Wednesdays.

Closed for a month, huh?

yeah my cousin's friend turned me on to it, their frozen dim sum list is absurd

they closed up 3 days ago and will be open again around june 14-16th from what i recall, i'm guessing they went to HK or something

What about the place across the parking lot from Happy King? It's upstairs of T&T on 1st in Vancouver.

MG1 06-20-2010 02:13 AM

Kam Mun is open again!

Damn lazy Chinese guys. Taking so many days off.

BlackZRoadster 06-20-2010 09:38 AM

please list the address of kam mun

is this place the bomb , best in van?

HonestTea 06-20-2010 12:42 PM

My mom just gets them from one of her friends, they usually get a few C-Lai's together for a big order then ask her if she wants to make it since I doubt she wants to get everything set up and only to make a dozen lol but shes on vacation right now and I'm waiting her to get back for my wonton and dumpling fix :D

It's pretty fucking good compared to the shit we eat or buy at T&T and other stores and she uses real ingredients, definitely A++ and cheaper then the frozen shit at T&T. If you guys are interested in getting a group thing going then I can ask my mom when her friend is coming back from vacation and decide then.

^ whats this non-real, or fake ingredients that these other dim sum places put into their dumplings??

HonestTea 06-20-2010 02:27 PM

Non-imitation meat and shrimp. Good sized shrimp-portions in each wonton instead of a 0.5cm piece in store bought ones and possibly no MSG added in the wontons as well. Wontons are made to order and don't think they ever sit in the freezer for more then a day, can't really say the same for store bought ones... lol

BlackZRoadster 06-20-2010 02:39 PM

^ lol imitation meat? and imitation shrimp?

i get what you mean tho,
