Cable box use
 

I am house/dog sitting for my parents for a while. they have shaw digital basic while i have shaw HD with all the movie channels and HBO. I am wondering if I can take my cable box up to their house and get all the channels I enjoy. and If it works will shaw care. I don't wish to get my parents in any hot water over this.

I don't have the answer but why not just call shaw? They could answer the question in 2 seconds and it shouldn't be to busy this time of day. At least that way it's not he said she said, you'll know for sure.

ur cable box is tied to ur house address, and depending on what cable packages ur paying for, they decide to send which channels to ur house.
