Kind of makes sense about the damage... the bumper bar is closer to the front of the car on the accord and it's farther forward in the rear of the volvo. All that's crumpled on the volvo really isn't that strong, and the damage was probably nearly all done by the actual bumper bar of the accord.

That said, glad you're okay man. Stuff like this is just a real annoyance if you're okay. It's really all that matters.

And the old ass S class Mercedes as well. I remember seeing a video where two trucks was squishing it together and they couldn't!

Please don't forget that you're in RICHMOND, shouldn't expect that much.... just be happy that nobody t-boned you at the intersection afterwards

anyways, glad nobody was hurt n wasn't a hit and run

The passenger of the Jag would be in much worse shape than the passenger in the VW if it was a more serious accidents. There's a reason why new cars crumble must easier than old cars, not because of cost cuts, but for safety reasons.

wow, glad your ok. Volvo's are amazingly safe cars. My friend had a 97 850R, and he hit the landscaping wall of a house going 130km/hr. He was absolutely fine afterwards and his car was extremely messed up (shaddered wheels, suspension & brake parts all over the floor).

How the hell do you 'not pay attention' when you're coming up to a road that ENDS for christ sake. I mean what would have happened if you weren't there? They probably would have gone flying up and over the embankment lol.

yeah I'm pretty sure they would of or tboned someone driving through the intersection. I was looking at my bro's photos and I didn't see skid marks from his car so they probably hit me without slamming on the brakes.
