Engagement rings - referrals? Hi All, I've done a bit of searching and came up with tons of info on here from various people about the C's of buying a ring, and now im looking for a broker that I could start talking to about actually getting a ring. After some searches, I came up with only 2 references that people said they used: - Ran from diamonds.ca - Diamonds Direct I was wondering if anyone else has other diamond brokers they would recommend for either the diamond, and/or ring, and/or wedding band Thanks :) |
There's bluenile.ca as well. |
Seriously, go here. I went there for my engagement ring and I was pretty happy with the results and price. They don't try to up-sell you on anything and will work with your budget and criteria. All my friends that I've referred them to have had the same experience. http://www.minichiellojewellers.com/ |
If you can, look for used diamonds. Regardless of where you buy from new, the cartels will keep the prices artificially high. Why do you think people sell things for way less (often more than half) of appraised value? It's because no one is willing to pay those kinds of prices on the secondary market. |
I bought both engagement and wedding bands from Ran@Diamond.ca, he has really good prices. I know a few people who went to him as well. I also know some people who went through blue nile and are very happy. |
go to harlings in vancouver, they cater to the insurance companies but have recently started to opening their business to the general public. Why go a business that caters to insurance companies? you don't pay retail pricing. |
My friends and I all deal with Ran. Really nice guy. Have to make an appointment to see him. He sells Canadian diamonds. |
