Not really impressed with this movie. Ip Man 1 was better. The over the top anti British stuff was funny (kinda like the Japanese in the first one). I wonder how the boxing match went down in real life.

Ip Man 1 was a better movie with a better story. Ip Man 2 was good enough for the action, but it wasn't as good.

I have the 3rd movie DVD sitting around waiting to be watched.

was there even a boxer in real life at all that he fought?

^^^ no there was no british boxer (bruce lee did though during school) and he wasn't the creator of wing chun and he actually deserted his family and ran to hong kong on his own (his wife died already supposedly)

there wasn't even a big fight with japanese martial artists either.... the japanese military wanted him to train their troops he wouldn't so they stripped him of his money

etc etc the movies are well movies.... just like all the hollywood "true story" films they're 90-99% bs
