Pretty short game if you're decent at solving puzzles.
It's not that hard. Fortunately, you can download and add custom maps to play http://www.map-factory.org/portal

Portal kicks ass, I freaking love that game. It is pretty short but I think it was just a display of the physics engine, as much as a game. Definitely a nice step away from the usual Freemanism.

Definitely. I'm looking forward to Portal 2. Probably will be more challenging and longer. Now that they know this kind of game was successful, they probably invested more in developing the 2nd one.
