Anyone know which sunglasses Ludacris is wearing in the John Legend Tonight video? he is wearing 2 different sets? Looking for the black ones not the blue.

StylinRed 05-29-2012 12:28 AM

next time post the video with a time stamp or a link or something.....

anyway they look similar to these Guccis i dont think they are exact as there seems to be slight differences maybe they're a different model year or something (or maybe its just the lighting)

If anyone's looking for cheap(not cheap, but cheaper than holt) designer sunglasses, go to skylight optical (not sure if skylight is the right name, its the place in lansdowne with everyone wearing white lab coats).

Go see the sunglasses and ask to knock 1/2 off the price tag :) helps if youre chinese.
Got my guccis suuuper cheap, can't remember how much but it was a lot less than holt

What's a good place locally to get sunglasses thats not overpriced?

PJ 06-11-2012 10:16 PM

Any of the private owned places will have better prices than Retail.
I always went to the places in Parker Place. Apparently people here seem to like Skylight at Lansdowne and Robson

Mr.Money 06-11-2012 10:48 PM

i should have checked there, but i wanted to support a store that just opened it's doors 3 weeks ago.

purchased mine @ the royalty optical on robson.....overall...pretty nice experience,i tried asking for a lower price and all they told me was "it's already on sale..."...haha..
and they were very helpfully letting me try on a lot of sunglasses....just tell'em your price range what your looking for and they will help you.

bcrdukes 06-12-2012 12:50 AM

Stupid question, how do I know they're not selling fakes?

PJ 06-12-2012 06:13 PM

You can just tell by the quality of everything. Box, cloth, authenticity card, the glasses itself.. The materials on fakes feel VERY cheap. Super light and brittle plastic, flimsy metal.. Also the joints. Fakes will feel loose and flimsy. Real pairs are super solid and sturdy.. after all, retail is like 3, 4, 500+.

I think with those reputable places you'd be pretty safe, as they've been around a long time.. so you don't really have to worry. Fake sunglasses are pretty obvious.. if stores were selling them, they'd be shut down rather quickly..

Armind 06-12-2012 07:52 PM

Picked up these babies today. Much needed new shades after YEARS.
