rofl, whichever employee made the mistake is getting bitched. Prob at least 100+ people ordered so a simple mistake easily cost them $1,000+

hotong 05-25-2010 07:55 PM

nvm got the $10 woot.

just remember kids, just because you have an SLR does not mean you are a photographer.

SkinnyPupp 05-26-2010 08:06 AM

I can't believe they are giving $10 coupons to people hoping to scam them out of $2000, sometimes hundreds of times

CP.AR 05-26-2010 08:21 AM

well I just checked... order got cancelled early this morning - no $10 for me I guess. Oh well

Well, it's good customer relations, and many people won't use the $10 coupon. For those that do use it, they would likely have purchased something overpriced from Best Buy anyway!

True! I hope they check their IP records so they don't end up giving multiple discounts to the greediest of pigs

Mugen EvOlutioN 05-26-2010 09:13 AM

i wonder if anyone actually ever received an error item with the wrong price tag. Otherwise its really point less racking up the hype, when you know they will bounce back afterwards.

waste of time.

They can't even put a right price up and you expect them to check IP records??

Some guy on RFD placed 5 separate orders and got 5 coupon codes..$50. :\

Big Chain stores like Best Buy are greedy pigs. Selling a 50cent wire for $15-20 bucks? Why would they even check IP? This is the perfect opportunity to have positive PR while having a low cost ($10 -> their real cost is probably $2) .

You must be balling outa control to pass on a good deal like this! Why don't you talk shit about superstore and home depot about charging people extra taxes over the years.

You have the habit of insulting anything that you think is "sub par" to your uber fucking high "moral standard". :haha:

You're right - this is a good deal. But how many people who ordered the Canon 7D for $220 actually wanted one for personal use?

fetched 05-26-2010 01:23 PM

Why not? 220 for a sick camera, I'd buy it just to look at it, replace my digital camera, give it to family, give it to friends, sell it on craigslist. $220 is too good of a deal to pass, if it was true i'd buy 5 as well, one for each member of my family? Is there anything greedy with that?

I totally did.. LOL, for $220, I would have sold my outdated Nikon stuff and switched over to Canon.

To be fair, the margin on electronics like computers and televisions is actually lower than you'd think which is why they have to mark-up accessories and warranties to actually turn a decent profit.

If BestBuy/Futureshop are greedy pigs, then don't shop there.

Why would every member of your family need an SLR camera? Couldn't you just buy one (or two) at the most and share them? I guess some people just have too much cash to blow.

I guess it's like the desire to have a TV in each room of a house. I just don't understand it.
