Rogers and Roaming I will be heading to Toronto for a couple days and from what I understand after a little Googling I won't have to pay any roaming charges. I'll still need to pay long distance to make calls but what if somebody calls me? Does that count as long distance as well? Will there be any extra charges for my Data or Texts? I just have the regular 500mb BlackBerry data and unlimited sent and received text. |
http://www.rogers.com/web/content/add-ons/longdistance click on local calling area. then use the scroll bar |
data no, there's no extra roaming charges but for calling there is roaming, but with Fido (yes I know you're on Rogers but they should be similar) you can call them and ask them to put a $25/month add-on to your package so you can make as many local calls as you want. Since you're gone for a few days, this gets pro-rated so you'll only end up paying a few dollars. Texts i'm not too sure about. |
