EGR port problems..

SO today i decided to clean my egr ports on my prelude, everything going well until the screw that i was using to pull one of the plugs out snapped inside the brass plug... so i tried to make another hole to pull it out, but its too close to the manifold steel wall around the plug and the screws thread gets into it, not allowing me to pull it.... anyone know any other way to get this plug out...ive snapped 3 drill bits trying to drill it, its pretty messed up, i can push the plug into the manifold, but iunno how i would get it out....

Okay first of all, why don't you combine all your car's symptoms and issues in one post.

Get a screw/bolt extractor.

screw is much MUCH too small, im thinking of taking a dremel to it and grinding the plug into pieces and taking it out that way

could you try to slightly grind a slot and insert the slotted screw driver and turn it? That's how I got my broken antenna mask bolt out !

vanLUDERCity 05-29-2010 12:04 PM

well its not a bolt so turning it would only make it turn...but thanks
