entitled hours for stat

I get paid hourly and keep track of my own hours. (varies day to day a bit)

but mostly I work mon-thurs 10 hour days.

I have to record my hours for this past monday (holiday) and don't know what I get. (I didn't work) do I just get the reg 8 hours stat, or do I get 10 hours of stat since that is what I normaly work?

8 hours of stat pay because you still end up working a 40 hour week.

It's not something you claim.
Stat pay is based off of how many hours you worked in the previous 30 days divided by the number of days you worked.

http://www.labour.gov.bc.ca/esb/facs...y_holidays.htm

According to this link, it would look like you are entitled to 10 hours pay for the stat.

Usually P/T don't even if you work on the Statutory Holiday, but if you...
that's why you see not much company will schedule F/T to work on Statutoy Holiday, because they need to pay doubleor/1.5

To be eligible for statutory holiday pay an employee must:

•Have been employed for 30 calendar days before the statutory holiday and,
•Have worked or earned wages on 15 of the 30 days immediately before the statutory holiday.
Employees who work under an averaging agreement or variance at any time in the 30 days before the holiday do not have to meet the 15-day requirement
