He and/or his business obviously failed on some level which landed him in jail. I wouldn't hire him.

Being an expert in security has nothing to do with whether he gets caught or not. Now, if he had said he's an expert in law evasion, that's another story.

if i had a position for him, I would hire him.

there would be SO MANY benefits to having him on the team, government subsidies and someone with so much experience but no degrees so will work for not a whole lot :p
