Thin is all fine and dandy, but if it's slow and flimsy, it doesn't matter. Can't tell either from pics.

True enough. Just make it really wide and thin :P

But hey, its still an N-series dual core atom with ddr3 support.

That heat sink is also designed to be fan-less, therefore it's bigger than it needs to be.

exactly, who cares if it's thin when you may have to keep it in a big thick/heavy case to keep it from getting destroyed.
