FS: 1993 RX7 w/1JZ SOLD Hey First off I never thought id be posting my car for sale, but I have lots of debt to pay off and no job so you gotta do what you gotta do. Someday in the future ill buy another one. Motor was swapped in / fab work done by Chris of fortress fabrication. Ive owned it for over 2 years, first owner in Canada. Imported from japan, so it is right hand drive Came here with stock motor, it blew short after and so I decided I wanted a 1JZ motor swapped in, instead of rebuilding the stock motor, The benefits of the JZ series motors are Reliability, and the stock block on this particular motor can handle up to 750hp on stock internals, also this is the VVTI motor, so it is pretty decent on gas. Specs Year: 1993 Make: Mazda Model: RX-7 Odometer: 54,000kms Motor: 1JZ-GTE VVTI, Single turbo Transmission: R154, 5spd Body specs: -RE-Amemiya front bumper -RE-Amemiya Headlight kit -RE-Amemiya Side skirts -RE-Amemiya Aero mirrors -RE-Amemiya Carbon fiber side skirt diffusers -RE-Amemiya GT carbon fiber wing -ViS Scoot style Vented Carbon fiber hood Suspension / Brakes/ Wheel Specs: -Ohlins Coilovers -17 inch KOENIG Special rims (staggered) -Brand new Nexan N3000 tires -Lots of new suspension bushings -BREMBO pads (new) -BREMBO rotors (new) Driveline Specs: -1JZ-GTE VVTi, 2.5L Inline 6cyl -CT25 Turbo, External dump tube w/ screamer pipe -Light weight flywheel (10lbs) -GODSPEED Front Mount Intercooler -GReddy knock off BOV -Custom aluminum racing radiator -E-Fan -Custom 1peice driveshaft -Full 3” Exhaust -JASMA muffler -High flow cat -BLITZ NUR spec tip -K&N filter Interior: -Sparco Fighter bucket seat -Crazy flipout dvd / cd player, gets tv reception, reads SD cards, cds, dvds, mini disk, etc. -MOMO wheel -Spacer for steering wheel The Good: -Tons of brand new parts, OEM and aftermarket -Timing belt was just done, 2JZ water pump, brand new tensioner for timing belt, thermostat, etc -Lots of new parts in the transmission (bushings, slave cyl, clutch fork, lines, etc) -Rear sump oil pan -Synthetic 5W30 EUENOS oil (Thinner is better for VVTi engaugement as vvti is controlled by oil pressure) -Car drives strait, and is really fast, turns heads, etc. -Paint is good, no accidents or claims The Bad: -Few dings / scratches (normal for its age) -Needs some TLC and Gauges, stock cluster is not working except the gas gauge, Digital tachometer is hooked up, needs water temp / boost / oil pressure gauges (to be on the safe side) -BOV should be reticulated as its running off a MAF and it runs rich when it goes off -Somebody broke in and stole all my gauges (hence why it has none) And so there is a lil chunk of the dash missing -Needs a new hood release cable, the one in there is on its last days. (the ball part broke off) -Could use a professional alignment as it was done by eye, but drives very good , no vibrations on the highway. -Small leak out the wastegate screamer pipe, if you shim the wastegate it will probably go away, only noticeable when the cars cold. Goes away when you drive. __________________________________________________ _____________ That’s about all. The car is my “weekend warrior” as it’s a blast to drive in the sun. Have not drivin it much since the swap was done as I have no money and just finished college. No test drives unless your serious, have the money and buy a full coverage day permit, will not show the car in the rain, looking for serious enquires only please. Don’t have time for flakers or tire kickers. The cars a real head turner, and has lots of potential to be a great race car, all you need is some big brakes, a cage, and a fuel cell / system and your set. Drift, drag, or whatever your into. The car breaks tires loose very easily and will put a big grin on your face whenever you floor it Asking $20,000 Call anytime. Leave a message with your name and number if I don’t answer, ill call you back. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...d/IMG_1927.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...d/IMG_1915.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...d/IMG_1912.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...IMG_1903-1.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...d/IMG_1902.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...d/IMG_1893.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...d/IMG_1889.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...d/IMG_1885.jpg http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/d...4_edited-1.jpg yes it </3 to sell it.. unless someone wants to let me have 10 grand! The cars my baby and i never wanted to sell it, planned on keeping it for a very long time. So i aimed for unique, something that stands out from the rest being a fd first off, then taking it to the next level with the JZ Motor. (which came out of a 1998 toyota JZX100 chaser) I mean.. i got love for the rotary engine still, but you cant beat the sound of a inline 6 turbo toyota motor ;) |
This is a beautiful machine, hottest thing i seen for a while |
w0w soooo nice |

Thanks guys. To the top |
bump.. just did another oil change today, and fired it up, warmed up / washed it :) Oh and i painted the valve cover candy red with course and fine metallic red flakes, and the valve cover with fine metallic red flakes (looks really nice) The wing is also off the car right now, re-clear coated it with micro red flake. Mount needs to be re threaded though as the 2 bolts broke off inside the mount |
