Marine Drive 2 Accidents

Two really bad accidents on Marine Drive eastbound, one at Knight St bridge junction, the other around Kerr Rd.

One black car at Knight St, unknown model - totaled. Front was crumpled really bad, passenger zone looked really bad as well. Wrapped around a traffic light.

White 5-series on Kerr St - looked like a 535/545 from the rims, gone to hell as well. Front was gone. Took out a traffic light pretty good... hanging down pretty low on eastbound Marine Dr.

Don't know if they're related or to do with street racing, but yikes.

It wasn't Kerr St, it was Victoria Drive and the crash look bad. When I passed by the lights were out and a cop was directing traffic. It also look like a single vehicle accident.

meaning driver fail, not car fail.

Remember guys, know your limit, drive within it.

I witnessed a car accident today, it was crazy, it was at the onramp onto Knight Street bridge off Marine. White 300c and Pontiac were going through an intersection. White 300c tried to merge lanes but the Pontiac was there, hit the Pontiac causing it to do a complete flip on its side, landed on the wheels, driver side was crumpled. Really crazy watching it all happen.

I think its more-so watching out for your surroundings. That 300c really hit that guy pretty hard but how you drive, of course, plays a role in your safety too. Its crazy how something so small and minor can make such a significant change. The ambulance had to come and take the guy away. Entire car is totaled just because someone forgot to shoulder check.

It's not street racing, it's excessive speeding that kills!!

So true. It's the nut behind the wheel? People rely on their car too much these days and really drive without common sense & basic car control concepts....

Reminded me about that idiot who drove the Prius & called 911 regarding to a stuck pedal awhile ago.....

it's not excessive speeding, it's coming to a stop in a split second during an impact that kills.

So another accident almost in the same spot yesterday afternoon involving a pickup truck. About an hour ago, there was another pickup truck pulled over in the same intersection and all the lights were flashing red. That intersection is cursed.

man everyone should be forced to drive a rear wheel drive car with no traction control or any electrical assists and in manual only. you can learn so much car handling skills from it, even when driving at around 60km/hr, even more so on wet grounds. Its this new age of traction control systems that are causing more driver retardedness.

Ie, driver never understood how to get the car to straighten out again, traction control doesn't calculate fast enough or over steps limit of traction control's abilities, car starts to fish tail, over corrects and the result is ^

It's not the excessive speed I worry about, it's the excessive stopping.
