What a weak docu.. At 15 if you are rich and egg windows and carry a single bullit in your pocket, you may be on the path to being a gangster... But you will probably end up riding around in your parents leased escalade with 20"s staring people down and wear Ed hardy shirts to the gym. Posted via RS Mobile |
this sounds like they were trying to make an Indo-Canadian version of Dragon Boys |
Some of you totally misunderstood the purpose of the documentary. It is not to show how hardcore indo-canadian youth are. it is to try to explain what indo-canadian youth are going through and how mentor figures such as that principal can help these youth make better decisions with their life! |
What it was TRYING to convey and what it DID convey are two entirely different things. To most of us (people on their peer level or within a reasonable proximity) see the bullshit these kids were spewing in that documentary to try to "look tough" Some people won't know any better and will take it at face value. We did not. We DO know better |
Ok, I went to PM. I had Sukh Rai as a teacher, he got promoted to Principal later. When i went there, the brown folks always had confrontation from other brown folks weather being from other Surrey highschools or their own personal dealings. A lot of Sukh said is true. The up and coming brown youth have lost touch with the fundamentals of being a Sikh. They don't have the respect that many first generation Sikh youths have. Oh yah, it looks funny to see your highschool in a video segment. |
LOL I saw a guy with T-shirt that reads "Grand Theft Auto - Surrey" |
@6:04 did he just pop 2 collars ?? lol |
