WTF at facebook settings... all my albums are set to friends only. one of my posted pics, a friend taged a non friend of mine. that non friend commented on the pic. how can this non friend see my pic?.. can they see the whole album? facebook says tagging shouldn't effect who can see the pic. should still be friends only. if my friend tags themself in my photo, can their friends see my album?... that is BS if they can. |
Well if he's tagged it only makes sense he can see the pic. I doubt he can see the album. It's probably under his MyPictures Posted via RS Mobile |
You need to modify "Can comment on posts" to "friends only". If it's otherwise, anyone can comment on pictures. And if you don't want others to be tagged in your albums, you need to set your tag settings to "only I can tag people in my albums." Yeah, it is that complicated. |
Ah, you also need to go into "applications, games, and websites"; there's a section that says "information available through your friends"- ie: what your friends can see and share with their networks. That's probably how that happened. |
Facebook's privacy is a maze of fail. |
and the fact that every few months they update their privacy options to allow for more opportunities to use/sell your information |

I don't mind the later, as long as they can only see that one pic, and not the whole album. although I can't actually find this setting. |
don't forget to check my comment after, "applications, games etc". Try that too. |
