I feel the same way, I have absolutely no clue about this stuff except that that yellow rat/cat thing is a Pokemon from seeing kids wearing the tshirt in public.
I was maybe 16/17 when pokemon became a hit... and you gotta know who pikachu is if you have any close relative under the age of 10... having pokemon stuff back then for them was like the ultimate balla thing...
