So first he says he's retiring from global or w/e to enjoy life etc.

Now he's lead anchor on CBC and it seems like he flys to the island by night to host the late night Chek news? wtf lol..

yea i don't get him.

i would just retire...why hassle to fly back and forth from van and vic?

i like the guy. he deserves to do whatever he likes now because of what he has contributed to the community and to BC news. maybe flying back and forth is his way of enjoying life.

because when you retire all you do is play golf, some people don't play golf

It's gotta be harder for him too.

Imagine if you did something for 30 years and then suddenly had to stop. This guy was pretty much on everybody's TV every night for so many years. Suddenly having that taken away from you is hard especially when you don't see the same people that you've worked with and befriended for so many years.

When he retires he'll be dead within a year I bet. Some people can't retire

It's Kevin Newman who'll be leaving in August.

he's on the national news now.

Chris Gailus stole parsons job. i bet he would of been at global forever

at the time when he retired I'm pretty sure no one knew he'd be flying in between Victoria and Vancouver to do two news casts a night lol
