I get a lot of attention from other hondas with loud exhausts coming up about 1 car length behind me at normal speed, then deciding they're gonna shoot up past me. I once had a little 4-5 year old kid think my car was bumble bee from transformers because its yellow and i had a cf hood :haha:
But ever since i put the stock hood back on i get a lot less attention, including from cops, so I'm thankful
Oh and on topic, i like it when people actually appreciate my car without the attitude, and don't even bother looking at the cars who try to show off by ripping it or reving around me, no need to give them that satisfaction.

I'm never sure what to do when people look ... Wave? Nod? Throw them a few revs? Smiling back seems kind of creepy.

The only stares I get are people who want to race my stock wrx.

kids always look thru the window of their parents car, staring at the S2000, i remember iwas the same when i was younger....like 10 years ago when it first came out. Id give the kid a few revs if he was a cool one and they would always have the biggest smirk.

one time there was a red R35 parked in the parking lot while i was waiting for the gf to get off class and within the 15 mins or so, at least 5 people walked by, stopped, and took a pic of the car.
this one guy even put down his briefcase to take pictures of it in 3 different angles while having a smoke in the other hand.
i even took pics of him taking the pics just so i could post it up in the spotted thread, but never got around to it :(

btw, the GTR looked pretty stock except for the added rice LED bars that you see everywhere

TheMatty 06-13-2010 01:10 AM

i feel violated when people look into my hood vent

124Y 06-13-2010 01:11 AM

Ever since I put the wastegate dump out the hood people go real close in parking lots to look. I never park where I can't see the car and I have seen a lot of people walking by stop, look at dump, walk around side and look in vent wondering WTF they are looking at. Not understand and then continue on lol.

Had some people last night take rolling pics of me as I was cruising down the road. lol wonder if it was for the hall of shame thread haha.

Berz out.

Oooh I don't think it's the same GT-R then. IIRC the one I saw at SFU surrey is stock.

So is that just one spot or is he taking up 3?

donjalapeno 06-14-2010 01:41 PM

I dont mind people looking, my neighbour has had 6th gen accords since 1999, he totalled 3 and he always stops and talks to me about my car. Kids at school always look at my car but thats probably because they drive waves/aveos/sunfires/cavailers.

However this one time at home depot i caught a guy sitting/resting( he was standing but his ass was resting on my hood) on my hood while talking to his buddy, so i went up and said can you please get off my car and he gave me this " im a badass" look and he said " sorry bud" like im a fuckin 2 year old and then he got into his truck and left.

I had to give some asian tourists (couldn't tell their exact ethnicity) shit here in Victoria when I saw them taking pictures of my car while they were taking turns leaning/sitting on it. They just gave me a stunned look.
Take all the pictures you want, just don't fucking touch it.

Qmx323 06-14-2010 03:31 PM

no one ever looks at my car

then again it is pretty plain

hk20000 06-14-2010 06:28 PM

A lot of people look at my car for the lucky star stickers pastored all over the car.

but none of them little hot girls so I was appealing to the wrong crowd.

nismosx 06-24-2010 10:31 PM

i get alot of stares why? car is super low and scrapes everywhere some people give me props for having a low stance and some think im a retard

jpark 06-24-2010 10:41 PM

^i give you props

GT4RC 06-24-2010 10:58 PM

I love when I catch people looking at my car. I get stopped in parking lots and am asked all the time where I got the hood and bumper, only to assure them she is all stock and turbo, 4wd, RHD. People are shocked when I tell them she's a '92. I've caught people snapping pics of her a few times.
I always park so I can see it from restaurants, in a corner spot, or backed in to look good.
I'm kind of obsessive. I normally wash/wax at least once a week in the summer, but she's off the road for a while :(
