'94 Accord Fuel Gauge

So, I was driving in my trusty '94 Honda Accord when I noticed that my fuel gauge went past E. In fact, I didn't even know it could go that far past E. The empty fuel light did not come on and within 5-10 minutes the gauge needle went back to displaying the correct amount of fuel. Sometimes when I brake hard and the needle will dip and then rise back up again after a minute or two of driving.

What gives?

I would most likely want to repair it myself if I can. I fixed many other problems on my car without going to a mechanic.

In other words, I am poor and don't want to shell out extra labor dollars if I have to.

Let me know what you guys think!

happens in most cars,

you should notice it more when going up/down hills.

in my accord ive had it dip wayyyyyy down. but once the gas lights on soild, and not off and on, i have ~10L to go. I usually fill when im at a quarter though.
