There's no taxes or fees for bringing in any amount of cash. It's just subject to being investigated to make sure it's clean.

great. Subject to investigation? if i sell all my property oversea and bring in a million, how do they investigate? confiscate the money until they find out?

not that im bringing a million in cash on me, but just for example.

bring transactions, copies of receipts and any additional supportive documents (bank statemet) as proof that the currency was legit and not something that's a proceed of crime.

BaoXu 06-12-2010 03:04 AM

just don't wear ed hardy or christian audiger when you're going through the border.

and fucking shave dammit.

Valour 06-12-2010 11:21 AM

Horrible example.

If you were legit doing a million dollar transaction there would be paperwork. Fact of the matter is basically no one deals with a million in direct cash for legal transactions. I've never witnessed anyone buying a house in cash. An expensive car maybe. Property? Unlikely.

If so, they would confiscate it until you prove its legit and you're not a terrorist.
