+ there will be some serious international backlash if it does. |
I can't see any country supporting Quebec as a separate state but as long as you have fucks like Duceppe to stir this crap every few years, we have to put up with the possibility of Quebec leaving. |
its the Bloc Quebecois main goal as a party is to have Quebec seperate. getting rid of Duceppe won't change anything. I believe a lot of quebecors vote for them simply because they protect quebec interests but if there were actually given the ability to seperate I'm sure many of them wouldn't go that far with their support. |
wtf is going to happen to the maritime provinces if this happens? it's going to split the country in half |
^ It cant happen, therefore wont happen! Dont worry about it :) |
Ha....I just hope we don't spend a fortune on the vote no campaign again. Instead, I hope we drop a dime or two on the education campaign. Quebec can take their share of the national debt. With that, you get some buildings that we built in your province. A lot of company headquarters are located in Quebec. They'll probably want to move back to Canada. Such firms may even have 'Canada' in the title...such as Air Canada. Probably a lot of the people that voted no are going to want to leave your fucked up, newly minted country. Think they do anything important? Bonus...chances are they speak english! Oh....then there is the matter of setting up a new currency, ambassadors and a shit load of other things to provide your french presence abroad. Thats free though I'm sure. Go right ahead. Start packing. |
On a related note, I've always wondered if there will be any 'new' countries that will be formed in the future, the newest were Kosovo and Montenegro. |
