Ferrari 458 Italia Review

So what do you guys think about this car? Probably the most technologically advanced roadcar Ferrari ever made. I don't think it's the prettiest Ferrari ever by a long shot..(I think the old F430 looked better), but its hard not to be impressed by its performance, especially by the transmission, with virtually 0 lag time between shifts.

Great engineering.

I think Pininfarina did a great job on this car. Their designs have always managed to impress me.
I'm sure it'll eventually grow on us and we'll all end up drooling all over this car. :)

i rmbr i read somewhere ...

that a lamborghini's design language is that..every model looks the same while ferrari models looks distinctly diff and yet it screams its a ferrari to the viewer

It's growing on me but it'll be interesting to see what the redesigned LP560 looks like.

this is what I call Ferrari sound. While this new one impresses in every single category whether it be looks, specs, etc. the sound of it is just rather depressing compared to previous ones.

Anxious to see how the spider model looks!

Anyone know if Top Gear is going to review it?

"It doesn't sound good at all" and "It doesn't sound as good as the F355" are two totally different statements.

To the purist, only V12 Ferraris are considered real. The V8's (although I do like them) are nothing compared to the scream of a V12 Ferrari engine going full bore.

I still think it doesnt look that good. F430 didnt need to grow on anyone cuz it's pretty from first sight. 458 needs some time to grow on ppl. But technology wise, no one can fault Ferrari.
