I'm just glad no one got injured.

orange7 04-06-2011 01:53 AM

hopefully the canucks can learn something from the past 2 games, and they better not play like shit during the playoffs.

Ronin 04-06-2011 02:15 AM

Who's still worried about the Blackhawks?

Now Brouwer is injured. They're already without Bolland, who was huge against the Canucks, with a concussion and Patrick Sharp is out too.

But if Dallas gets in that last spot, it will just be lol's...when we sweep them and outscore them 20-5 like during the season.

Ronin 04-06-2011 02:22 AM

Have you ever seen a more perfect tic-tac-toe?

FerrariEnzo 04-06-2011 02:45 AM

this count? Awesome no look pass

Ronin 04-06-2011 04:55 AM

I sort of think of those as different goals.

The video I posted is an example of a 5-man unit with the smarts, vision and skill to execute a perfect passing play. Probably an example of a set play practiced over and over and over.

The Sedins? Well, that shit is just hax. :fullofwin:

If they're gonna slump, I'd rather see them get it out of their collective system NOW, so they can get back to kicking ass come mid-month.

lol Turco, awesome :fullofwin:

Quote:

Chicago Blackhawks goalie Marty Turco(notes) hasn't started a game since Feb. 11 and hasn't appeared in a game since St. Patrick's Day, so the veteran has to find ways to keep himself amused on the bench.
Like, apparently, making wagers with opposing fans during games.
The photo above appears to depict Turco and a Montreal Canadiens fan passing a $5 bill through the glass at Bell Centre on Tuesday night, when the Blackhawks lost to the Habs, 2-1, in overtime. A Montreal season-ticket holder named Robert called in to "Game Points with Matthew Ross" on Team 990 after the game, and spun a humorous tale of Turco making bets with him (and eventually losing in overtime):

For the video challenged, Robert claimed he bet Turco, after Michael Cammalleri's(notes) goal for Montreal made it 1-0 in the first period, that Chicago wouldn't score again. When Patrick Kane(notes) of the Blackhawks tied the game, he passed Turco a $5 bill with "Habs Rule" written on it.
They went double-or-nothing after the first period, and then triple or nothing for the third; and then, in overtime, he gave Turco 5-to-1 odds that the Canadiens would win the game.
"And he took the bet!" said the caller. "When the Canadiens scored in overtime, he handed me back a wad of $5 bills and inside was that $5 bill that I gave him. He crossed out 'Habs Rule' and wrote 'Turco Rules.'"
Via Moe Khan of Team 990, who also provided the audio, what he claims is that $5 bill:

Greatest fan story of the season? You bet your defaced Canadian currency it is.
As Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times writes, Turco probably didn't expect this interaction to go viral, and the NHL will probably frown upon it if the caller's claims are accurate. Fact is that the Exhibit 14.2 in the NHL CBA states: "Gambling on any NHL Game is prohibited."
Which is a shame, of course, because there isn't a hockey fan in North America with an ounce of joy in their soul that doesn't think Marty Turco is Capt. Awesome after hearing this story. If there was ever a "lighten up" provision in those regulations, now would be the time to use it. Because, as you can see, Turco Rules ...

Don't get too excited, we haven't even made it past the first round yet.

'cept your team isn't even in the playoffs, while ours is finishing at the top of its division, conference, and the entire NHL this season.

So yeah, celebrate all you want.:troll:

Addendum............ plus your boys are dead last in the NHL.

Greenstoner 04-06-2011 07:48 AM

Hondaracer 04-06-2011 07:57 AM

Oilers aren't going to be contenders even if they get first rounders for the next 3 years, no FA's want to go to EDM

There was a nice one I just saw a day ago, but I can't remember which game.
I think Burrows scored.

Daniel Slaps it down from center, Henrik receives the puck from the bounce,
passes to Daniel, passes to Burrows... something like that.

Anyone have that page with all the Canucks HD highlights posted on the CDC forum??
I have it bookmarked at home, but I never can find it by googling or going on CDC.

The one Ronin posted was nice though. Hard to find the whole team involved unless it's on PP.

winson604 04-06-2011 09:39 AM

bad quality but this one from a couple years back was nice and also against Dallas lol

I'm quite aware of where the Oilers are. I suppose since they had a bad year I should just stop being a fan and get on someone else's bandwagon? **cough cough **

I'll cheer for the Canucks since my guys are out (unless Calgary makes it by some miracle, then I'll cheer them on even though they're the Oilers rivals).

I wouldn't ever stop cheering for my team. That's what a true fan would do.
