Fun Things To Do in Osoyoos, BC I'm headed to Osoyoos and staying there for 4 days. July 1st-4th. Any of you folks have suggestions on where to hang out. There's 8 of us going and we have a 3 bedroom, 1400 sq ft Condo rented right on the lake. We are on Lake Shore Drive and a bit of a ways off from the "downtown" of Osoyoos and the public beach (long walk or a quick drive to the public beach area). We actually stayed there last year and didn't do jack all because all the people wanted to stay in the Condo or on our private dock. The only interesting thing was boating which we did try once. Any good clubs/pubs/bars or a place to meet new people? I guess they also have tours of wineries. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. |
fishing i heard is really good. |
I hear LG's are pretty good in Osoyoos around that time. |
Get laid, not much else to do there then meet girls drink and have fun |
thats a great time to go osoyoos. 4 days might be too long though. go seadoo, boating, any water stuff. me and a bunch of my friends go there every year at that time, not this year though :( we always stayed at holiday inn right at the beach. go-karting is cheap at that carnival place. go try all the wineries. they are pretty interesting Posted via RS Mobile |

Lived there for a year playing hockey. Not really too much to do, don't think there are any bars or clubs worth going to. Just have fun on the beach and harass the chicks, that is what normally happens anyways. |
LOTS of booze. |
swim drink and relax in the sun, It's a great time to forget about life and just take it easy. |
Jump off the bridge into the water.. check out some fruit stands, drive up the mountain toward Grand Forks and take in the view of the valley and Osooyoos. |
There's a lot to do really, depending what youre into... they have a lot of watersports.. you can go parasailing, rent jet skis or a boat and take those out for a while. If you're into wine they have a ton of wineries up there that you can tour. The campsite I use to stay at (Nk'mip) recently built a really nice winery which isn't far from the campgrounds at the south end of the lake. There are also a bunch of mini golf places you can check out, it's near the border as well so you could cross over for a day and go down there, though I'm not too sure how much there is to do on the other side. You could probably kill a day or so walking around in the downtown area just walking around in the stores. They also have occasional street events as well if I remember correctly. If you like golf, there are 2 courses that I know of, one is a small par 3 type course, the other is a much nicer country club type deal, I've never been to that one but I know a lot of people who have and I've heard good things. You can also rent bikes or some other fun stuff, I think they have like trikes and probably tandem bikes and stuff. That's all I can really think of right now, I spent every summer there for probably 20 years so I know the local area quite well, especially touristy stuff. |
bring your picnic basket and cute little carpet to lay it under the cool breezed tree on the beach and have an apple and talk about life and start drama... but really osoyoos doesnt really have that much to do.. mostly all my friends who go up there are girls so i guess thats a good sign for you |
if you are there on canada day, they have a parade in downtown. |
Drive up to penticton and do the channel. |

Yeah, I heard about that and fireworks for that evening. MegaHurtz mentioned Para sailing. I didn't see anybody do that last year (or I wasn't paying attention) but I certainly am looking forward to that. |
if you are looking for bar scene your best bet is to hit the Sage pub. I've always had an awesome time there. There can be drama there with the locals though. |
