Noob alert! I got some dumb questions

So i'm going to sell my XSi, but i want to make sure i don't sell something i could have used later in the future.

Question 1: Is the Battery grip (BG-E5) only for XSi, T1i and XS? (broadway camera only lists it as XSi and T1i)

Question 2: Are there any EF lens that use 58mm UV filters? (I don't want to sell off my B+W 58mm on my kit lens if i can use it on another lens)

Question 3: According to Broadway's site, the RC-1 is compatible with rebels, but the RC-6 is compatible with rebels AND 7D, 5D MK2 etc. Why is this?

Thank you in advance for answering my dumb questions.:)

Question 1: BG-E5 is used on XS/XSi/T1i only

Question 2: EF lens that use 58mm filter... only one that comes to mind right off the top of my head is the 100mm f/2.8 (non-IS) Macro. I'm sure there are more though.

Question 3: Not sure, never really looked into it, but the RC-6 is cheaper anyway - moot point?

I'm assuming you're upgrading, so what are you stepping up to?

Thanks

i asked Question 3 because I have the RC-1 right now.

I haven't decided what i'm stepping up to yet, 7D, maybe 5DMKII. Still up in the air.

Pretty sure my 50mm 1.4 is a 58mm as well.

Question 2: If you're thinking of getting a 7D or 5Dmk2, I wouldn't worry about the 58mm filter. You'd be better off thinking about what lens you should invest in with decent IQ (and most I believe will have much larger thread sizing).

Question 2: 100mm macro non-L, 50mm 1.4f, 85mm 1.8f, 24mm 2.8f, 28mm 1.8f, 100mm F2, canon mp-e65 macro lens, all of which are canon EF lenses that use 58mm. i'm sure there are plenty others, i just can't remember them all.

Thank you everyone for your answers so far.

I think i'll sell the 58mm filter too since i don't think i'll be getting any of the lenses you guys/girls have listed anytime soon.

Anyone able to answer my last question, Question 3?
