Very true. Im filipino myself and playing against schools full of them is annoying like St.Pats or Gladstone, they complain to the refs for fouls just because I play hard defense. It's also true many of them do not know any technical skills because the lack of joining or playing for a select team/regional team/ provincial team.

If you come over to a filipino's home, their mom will insist you eat as much as you want though.

Isn't the majority of revscene either chinese, korean, filipino or some other asian? I don't get the racist comments. But, in all honesty, some of my asian friends seem to hate on flips and other south east asian countries. Wonder why this is.

The only annoying filipinos are the old ladies that work at Wendys screwing up my order. But for the most part, I find they are quite friendly and actually learn English when they come to Canada. You can approach them and actually talk in English. Whereas, chinese, koreans seem to not accept anything Canadian and will stick to their kind.

The part about them being greasy doesn't make sense to me either- if anything its the crazy chinese guys at SFU with dragonball hair. That shit looks greasy.

Yea, I get a free lunch every other week at my friends place. He's my one filipino friend and is one of the best b'ballers I know, but even he avoids playing with flips whenever posible. A lot of people don't have technical skills, but they (white, chinese, blacks) don't hack or reach in every other play, or call foul when their follow through hits your finger tips.. . . or call a foul like 5 seconds after their shot. . . after they see that they miss their open layup. . . it can get really iritating/annoying. I don't understand because I've probably played with 30 or so different filipino guys and I'd say 2/30 play honourably.

I'll try to chime in here.

Some East Asians (Chinese, Korean, Japanese) believe that South East Asians (Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indonesian, Filipino, Burmese, Cambodians, Laotians etc) are "dirty" because of their dark skin color (white is right in Asia). and also the "dirty" implies that their women are very easy and are cheap prostitutes.

Another thing... is that most south east asian country's infrastractures is not as advanced east asia, so they are seen as backwards people.

Also some east asians don't like the sound of tagalog or the filipino accent when comparing it to the sound of their own language or whatever.

In Asia, especially east asia, its very common for people have live in maids and quite a huge portion of these maids or nannies are filipinos, and they don't get paid very much to cook and clean.
