But then if they buy a house in Surrey or Langley and make a peep about how bad the traffic is going into Vancouver, or how we're now going to be tolled for the majority of the routes, they're then told "Then you should have moved into a Vancouver Shoebox Special" and be damned about actual livable space if you happen to have an actual family.

What should a house in Vancouver cost? If house prices in Vancouver did go down wouldn't that just create more demand from all the people that work in Vancouver but live elsewhere, reducing the the amount of houses for sale and increasing prices?

They need to increase urban density, like along the Canada Line route. That line can use WAY more condo towers.

The problem is with hippies who require X amount of green space per sqft of living space. Our ratio is way higher than other cities. Yes it creates green space but it also caps the height at which we can build, adding to the problem.

They also own houses they don't live in. Jim Patterson owns Liz Taylors old house that was in the first F&F. Housing prices are always going to go up that's just how the economy works.

I think it's Frank Sinatra's house he owns, unless he owns Liz Taylor's old house too?

^ Jim Patterson?

I'm not talking about lowering housing prices; I'm talking about the hypocritical public that fails to see the plight that many people are in when they're looking for a place to live.

He does own Franks house but thats in Palm Springs and I don't think any of F&F was shot there.

14372 MULHOLLAND DRIVE: The Fast and The Furious: the circular Hollywood house with the pool, where Paul's cop buddies have set up a temporary police HQ (and which they mention is "the house Eddie Fisher built for Elizabeth Taylor"), is probably atop the Hollywood Hills, between Bel-Air and Sherman Oaks.

What was the point of that news clip? They stated something that's been known since forever, lols.

Tim Budong 06-20-2010 02:55 PM

Its known forever, but for the average 25-35 whos looking to buy property is tough, even at the condo level.
