My dad put regular oil instead of synthetic oil into my car.

I just found out after 8000kms that my dad put regular oil into my car this one time he took my car to a chinese place on kingsway. I drive an 07 Acura TL s-type and it's suggested in the manual book that synthetic oil is to be use only. Guys, give me some input on whether this will cause damages to the engine later on? I'm pretty choked at him right now but It's father's day so I'll fight him next week lol jk.

Your car is worthless now... I'll take it off your hands for free.

MG1 06-22-2010 05:34 AM

I will not fail you, but I see you got a fail already. The fail could be due to one of at least six reasons.

Does this vehicle "belong" to your father? Did he take it for a joy ride?

In any case, be nice to your father. Looks like he takes very good care of you.

SkinnyPupp 06-22-2010 05:55 AM

I'll remove my the fail when you prove that it's actually your car and not his.

Marioo1991 06-22-2010 07:07 AM

I dunno whats worse:

-If its your car, why is your dad taking it in for an oil change?
-If its his car, why are you whining about something he did to his car?

Mugen EvOlutioN 06-22-2010 07:26 AM

shit you better flush it out with syn oil ASAP!

otherwise the head gasket is gonna go, and you wont be able to engage your SOHC vtec, massive amount of engine oil shall be consumed.

Do it before its too late, since your car is use to synthetic oil

Drive it off a cliff, problem solved.

The flux capacitor will rupture taking out the muffler bearing leading to total mechanical chaos.

It'll be fine just tell your dad to change his oil and use synthetic next time

tiger_handheld 06-22-2010 01:21 PM

i heard tht if you use reg oil on a premium car, the engine starts spewing oil (kind of like the BP well in gulf of mexico) , and eventually it enters into the cabin and stains and ruins the interior. tell your dad to put aside 2g aside for clean up.

has this happened to anyone else?

illicitstylz 06-22-2010 01:39 PM

At least he didn't put NOS energy drink in.

Pathetic attempt to cover yourself.

haha wtf is your problem bro?

143what 06-24-2010 02:51 PM

why are you hating... because you drive a piece of shit box? better watch your speed on those speed bumps. Wouldn't want you muffler or bumper to fall off now.

Soundy 06-24-2010 03:50 PM

How would a speed bump knock the muffler off my Jeep?

I guess I better stop now, before buddy starts telling me about all his important friends... :noob:

143what 06-24-2010 04:05 PM

haha whatever bud, get off your phone and pay attention to the road before you hit a curb and total your car.

:troll:

Lomac 06-24-2010 04:52 PM

For fuck's sake...

No, putting dino oil into that engine wont cause any long term issues. If you're overly concerned, simply do an oil flush and put in oil you feel comfortable with.

Otherwise, I'm shutting this thread down before I start handing out points and/or banning people.
