jtanner_ 06-24-2010 06:04 PM

Lol I figured as much but just wanted to be sure.

In all honesty I felt bad for what happened and did go so far as to calling Rogers etc for a solution for him... had he not threatened me on multiple occasions I wouldn't have had a problem returning his money in a civilized manner.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Gnomes 06-24-2010 07:55 PM

Keep us posted with updates :)

I feel the same way. If he was civil about it, I would have told you to return the money and get the phone back, but with all the threats and stuff, regardless of who's fault it is, I'd be inclined to tell him to f off and leave you alone.

jtanner_ 06-25-2010 06:13 PM

So after 3 days of silence, I received another e-mail today...

Never fuk people over again.

At this point, I honestly just laughed... and while I'm tempted to reply with some smart ass remarks, I'm pretty sure i'm just going to leave it at this and hope this is the last I hear from him...

w00tgasm 06-25-2010 07:05 PM

so what's the angelfire link?

jtanner_ 06-25-2010 07:08 PM

^ I honestly laughed when I read that... but he does own a company that makes websites. Either way I don't think he would go out of his way to advertise it or that it would get much attention anyways.

Making a big deal out of it would just show off to the world what a cheap bastard he is.

1) Figure out which personal rights and laws he is breaking by making the website.
2) Copy and paste them into an email.
3) Let him know what your "lawyer" thinks.

That should shut up this "fukin powerful guy".

Send him a letter in legalese on /b/ letterhead.

underscore 06-30-2010 04:38 PM

oh geez what a moron. you owe him nothing, if when you sold it (to the best of your knowledge) it worked fine, and you didn't give him any kind of warranty, then it's all on him to ensure that it is working properly before handing any money over.

SomeOtherAsian 06-30-2010 06:02 PM

Seems like you should start googling your name and look for these supposed defaming sites. hahaha if they're even out there

KidRobot 06-30-2010 06:04 PM

Which web design company does he own?

6793026 07-05-2010 10:23 AM

first of all, it's childish he is sending you emails.

you don't need to do anything, it's just somethign happened with rogers and i'm sure if he called a few people he would be able to unlock the phone somehow.

as for you, don't worry. we all know the pros and cons for doing business over CL. i bought my phone on CL and yes, it did work, calls worked and internet worked etc. if something went wrong, i can't call the dude and say you screwed me over.

just ignore him, he is clearly trying to get your attention. he can't do much. i mean who knows what he did the 2 days during the time he had the phone for.

hope it all goes well.

hchang 07-05-2010 01:51 PM

It's actually illegal if he puts your name up on a website and flames you.

You can sue him for harassement and go to small claims court for Damages.

AzNightmare 07-12-2010 10:21 PM

Buyer Beware.

I hope you didn't use a personal email to contact him.
I don't think he can really do anything to you, besides harrass you with text, calls, emails, etc.

Who knows what he's done to your phone now. If you give him the money back,
your phone could have been damaged and returned to you in a different state from when you
initially sold it.
