damn those are stunning! He must have a really cool critter collection :D Any information on equipment used? I only would think a tele-macro was used (like the canon 180L), but some of those shots are really really close and detailed. |
It's called macro photography or close-up photography. |
as much as those are stunning and beautiful photos, those photos also make me not want to shoot more macro photography :D to capture those in the wild must be a true test of patience. im thinking a telemacro would do the trick. if those aren't cropped images, im thinking maybe something like canon's mp-e 65 for a 5x magnification? his lighting is definitely a big factor as they all seem to be very balanced |
^ Definitely a test of patience... That's an insane variety of rare insects/creatures... And some great macro shots! |
This guy is pro! To let you know, he shoots all his subjects in a studio. Perfect light, everything down to even a backdrop |
Some of these pictures gave me the creeps... Nevertheless, great pictures! |
Holy macro! |
Pretty cool photos! Scrolled down pretty fast kinda scared of bugs haha |
Stunning but creeps me out... :D |
damnn sure creeped me out too |
These are amazing. Macro is probably the most mind-boggling variety of photography, imo (aside from HDR maybe, if you include that). Can someone with more expertise than I take a guess at how much Photoshop manipulation has gone into these? Some look a bit surreal, especially with regards to the backdrops. (Not that it diminishes how amazing they are). |
looks like aliens! |
Those are some really cool shots. |
