Anyone have any experience with morrey nissan body work?
 

Long story short, I noticed some damage to my bumper when I picked up my car from dealer service on June 21 (Monday)
I am 100% positive none of this damage was there BEFORE I dropped it off.

Did my usual walk around the car to make sure there werent any door dings etc when I picked her up, but this time I noticed a scuff and another small patch (about the size of a loonie) where it almost appears as if the clearcoat is cracking. (Refer to pic)
Also at certain angles it looks as if that very same patch is dimpled, almost like a small dent. I'm not sure if this is due to the texture of the patch or not.

So I talked to the service manager who said he'd have to call "their guy" and set up an appointmentt with him, then they'd contact me.

So I'm asking all you detailing guys and Ken, whether or not this looks like something I can tackle by myself with a PC + some polish.

I worry about leaving it with the dealership as they'd probably just inflict more swirls, random scuffs and god knows what else to surrounding areas

So this is the scuff which I'm almost positive will buff out easily

was that spot ever repainted to your knowledge?

looks to be either heat damage or primer reacting poorly.

The bumper was repainted last year when I was rear ended, but I'm 100% positive neither of those damaged spots were there before I took my car in for service. I'm always walking around my car looking for damage and this would've been caught long ago if it was to be primer reacting poorly

Small scratches like that are typically outsourced to various mobile contractors.

it looks like the bodywork sunk. should be able to remove with wetsanding and polishing

Looks like a primer reaction to me :)

All ICBC Claims come with a lifetime warranty. Take it back to the shop and have them fix it! It should be able to buff out but just "babysit" them while they are doing it since you are concerned about more damaged.

Thats exactly what I did actually, I took it to ICBC for them to look at, the adjuster said it looks like its from a previous repair. So I went back to the bodyshop. The manager wasnt too happy that I was saying it needed to be re-done, but they took care of it.

So for now I'll just keep my eye on it
