might have to reload the OS.

When you backed up your BBM contacts, did you back it up from within BBM? When you just do a general backup, it doesn't do that.

BBM contacts should be fully restored if you have a registered email and backed it up using that email. restoring from that registered email should recover all your contacts and groups.

when you say format, what do you mean exactly? it could also be the different bbm versions thats making your format look different and could also be a theme issue.

i dont trust that way of backing up bbm contacts, i prefer to save a file on a sd card.

Just going to have to update the OS or just BBM. I'm pretty sure all 9700s came with 5.0 already. You need to update BBM to the latest one using appworld.

i didnt exactly format it, she asked me to back up and then use advance back up, so i chose my bbm contacts and contacts only, nothing else.
and my pin didnt however switch over on peoples bbm.
i called in and they said to send the phone back and they ll send another one for now
