Laptop advice

Looking to buy a new laptop for school. I would like to spend under 700 if possible.

Primarily for internet/work etc/ Will be gaming very little if ever.

Would prefer a 14 inch screen.

Any recommendations?

I was looking at the Lenovo ThinkPad SL410 but could not find any reviews.

Thanks in advance! =)

got my cousin a lenovo y550 or was it 560.. anyway its around the same price range your looking@

its a great laptop some pretty solid features and it feels sturdy/hi quality

the only issue i've had when playing with it is trying to update it for him from the lenovo support page... the website is slow and not easy to navigate etc

and i didn't like the screen resolution (1280x720 or was it 1366x720...) im too used to 1920x1080

but really its a solid laptop; i know its not the same model your looking @ (the features are basically the same tho) but i hope it gives u some insight about the brand :)

$50 over your budget but a great laptop with a long battery life.

if you're buying it for school, wait until right before you start. you'll get more computer for your money.

Ship it to Point Roberts, and pick it up from there.

There seems to always be a good functional 14.1 Acer Laptop at the 600 price point. I've gotten my last 6 or 7 comps from Acer, you won't get anything mind blowing but I've always found them pretty reliable.
