quality back in the day but these days it's all about the rare numbered cards. The Upper Deck cards have always been worth more then the O pee-chee, Topps, Pro Set etc. |
damn i need to go look at my cards again, I think i have a super old Gretzky card and a RC Brodeur |
hmm, i havent looked at mine in forever, i got cards probably 20years old now... |
most cards from the 90's are not worth much, card show dealers are not interested in them unless u got some rare card like a Joe Thornton black diamond rc. what is everyone going to do about 90's hockey cards? |
^ Haha not sure what I'm going to do with all my 90's cards. Ebay for super cheap? My uncle recently gave be two boxes full of unopened 90's cards, and even signed cards from a few Canucks players back in the day. |
For those looking to join in on the fun but are overwhelmed with how many products are on the market, here's a quick guide: http://www.hockeycardguru.com/Articl...nnersGuide.htm |

Sorry for the BUMP but I was going through my boxes and found some cards from 06-07. Anyone know in specific how much the Milan Michalek card goes for? It's a BAP Signatures signed 1/10. http://i.imgur.com/7i2UMDW.jpg |
I see Meszaros card I remember seeing this dude play for the giants and thought he was a beast Injuries got the best of him |
This just reminded me I have two giant rubbermaid full of hockey and NFL cards from the mid 80s to 90s in my storage unit, all in great shape and sealed. Some are even full sets of a years cards too. The problem with sports cards since the mid 80s though is that they were just massed produced, so there really isn't much value to them. I have like 20 Forsberg, Bure and Lindros rookie cards each, so that gives you an idea on the supply of them out there. |
It's all about rarity. "The Cup" series is like $400 for a box that contains 5 packs of 8 cards. The cards you can potentially pull though can be worth from $50-600 and onward This year I think I'll be getting back into the series 1/2 of the regular upper deck series |
i have a buncha unopened booster packs of upperdeck 92-93? or was it 93-94... lol someone wanna buy em off me? u might get uhhh pavel bure ahhaha!!! |
I've got a Roberto luongo Florida panthers card lol |
how about other cards besides hockey cards, I have this card called black lotus. It must be from a card game or something. its suppose to be worth something? |

My favourite cards were the Parkhurst cards in 1991 or so.. they were so glossy, and the pictures were bright and saturated http://puckjunk.com/wp-content/uploa...143_f_zoom.jpg http://www.centericecollectibles.com/scans/143340e.jpg Most valuable card in that deck is Bill Guerin's rookie, worth $5 :awwyeah: |
Yeap, Beckett still around Pretty sure i had some of the Parkhurst cards as well |
the texture was so different and so neat |
Only hockey cards I liked were the McDonalds ones. I was so close to completing it too. :okay: http://www.baseball-cards.com/jpgs/h/h-ice.jpg So badass. They were plastic and a portion of it was transparent, kind of like our current dollar bills. STATE OF THE ART. |

still have this in my room. the rest of my cards are somewhere in storage. got a lot of good ones too. hasek, yzerman, linden, petr forsberg, lindross, and a whole bunch of other guys rookie cards. cant remember off the top of my head. had a lot of good basketball cards as well found this one in a pack of cards luckily. its been in that sleeve since the day i opened that pack lol http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...9/IMAG0520.jpg |
