Thats been on there for a while now, started at 550 -> 500 -> now 450

Its the OLD version, which are apparently not very good. 17-35 -> 16-35 -> 16-35 II

obviously it wouldn't be as good. But it's good for the price for what it is.

that lens sucks, you're better off paying $300 more for a 17-40L

moky 07-02-2010 06:22 PM

even though that lens sucks, at least it's still better than those on CL asking for $350 for a tamron 17-35 f2.8-4 or equiv, right?

J____ 07-02-2010 09:12 PM

ya but might as well spend $600 and get a 17-40L yiou wont regret it. MUCH sharper image. and i mean noticeably sharper.

I had that piece of shit before, and sold it to the guy who has it now. The guy that has it purchased it off of me for $550. He is a fucking huge piece of shit. He said he had only $500, then he rummaged around for some change and eventually had to drive to an ATM to get the extra $50 dollars.

He is a piece of shit, and i would NOT buy it from him.

Oh and btw, I purchased it for $70 from a pawn shop.
the thing is SOFT. Grab a 17-40mm, you'll be a lot happier, hell, even a tamron 17-35mm would be sharper.

I'd stay away from that thing because the guy treats his gear like complete shit.

BTW: when i purchased the lens, the focus switch was already busted.

lol you bought it for $70 and sold it for $550? nice

moky 07-03-2010 06:59 AM

Senna4ever 07-03-2010 10:31 AM

moky 07-03-2010 11:01 AM

incidentally, where ARE the pawnshops located anyway? i live in richmond and so far i haven't seen any, nor am i familiar with where they might be...?

theres a pawn shop on No.3 road. West side of 3 road, i think corner of granville....
either granvile or one of the streets north of granville. Either way, its at the NE corner of the intersection.
