not that many v8s.

with technology where it is, they are squeezing all the potential out of the v6s first.

but the low rev torque is addicting.

actually, the 4 cylinders in my 944turbo and 968 are literally 1/2 of the 928's V8 engine.

944 2.5L 4CYL

X 2 = 928 5.0L V8

You're thinking cut in half from the top view, from side to side.

I was talking about cutting in half right down the middle of the crank from front to back.

V8 for European and Japanese cars is okay... because the engines actually make decent or good power for the V8.

but V8 for American cars is the biggest joke. Big ass 10.0L engines that have the same power output of a 4 cylinder...

Guess you never experienced "Real" torque. You know the kind that starts from idle not boost.
I own two V8 trucks and two 4cyl cars.
One is a 5.9 Dodge Dakota the other is a 5.7 International Scout
the four bangers are a 1 liter Nissan Pao and a 73 Celica with a MR2 supercharged 1.6.

you are probably more used to taking pictures of cars with bigger engines than actually driving them.

Used to roll with the v8 crew... but decided to tack on a couple extra cylinders for good measure. I do miss the v8 rumble though!

funny, the new Mustang GT makse more power than the Lexus ISF, same displacement, and being a ford it "probably" uses 87 octane.

^ You're talking about the Coyote engine right?. Running on premium fuel will give you 412hp and running on regular will give you 402 hp.

Nice to see the V8's are well represented. I love pulling up next to stock or lightly modded 4 cyl cars and laughing as they rev their engines as if they have a chance of beating me off the line. I've never needed more than half throttle to beat them, haha.

The new Coyote 5.0 will probably win engine of the yr.....good power, you can use 87 octane fuel....and revs pass 7000rpms.....also from my understanding Ford did not use exotic parts to get the power either...so it will be relatively frugal to operate.....
