Miami has #23 (jordan) retired so he can't wear it there... So it was his try to make himself look "nice and respectful" first rather than sign with the heat and asked to pick a new # or asked what # he will wear.....;)

so kobe wears 24 because he wants to be +1 better than jordan? haha

LOL.. I'm not sure.. but if let's say LeBron wanted to go to NY or NJ to begin with, I doubt he would be changing numbers just out of "respect" to Jordan... 7 years later....... ;) ;)

No. He is changing to #6 because as of this upcoming season the #23 will be retired throughout the entire league for obvious reasons, just like how #99 is retired in the NHL, LeBron chose 6 because its his # from the 2008 Olympics. I didn't know Jordan played for the heat and they retired his # :s lol

Jordan never played for the Heats, but they retired the #23 out of respect to him when he finally quit the game back in '03

wow, NBA is dying a slow death

Quote:

According to NBA Commissioner David Stern, the NBA lost about $370 million in the 2009-2010 NBA season.

This reported loss was good news to the NBA's ears seeing that they expected to lose more money this season. Stern was expecting to lose $400 million this year, and also stated that the NBA has lost at least $200 million a year for the four previous years.

According to my math, the NBA has lost over $1 billion dollars in the past 5 years.

So has LeBron even signed? He just said he wants to go to Miami but have they actually put a contract together?
