where to fix plastic chrome

Does anyone knw any shops that can fix plastic chrome?
I had a grille shipped to me but UPS cracked the tip of it. It's not fallen off but there is a crack maybe halfway through it. Is there any way to fix this and rechrome the plastic? thanks

Might be easier to simply make a claim with UPS and the company you purchased it from, and then get a new one shipped.

the seller is offering credit back or to ship it back. However he doesnt have anymore of these in stock and they're kinda hard to find.

Also had these shipped to a US address when i was down in nevada, now im in canada so not sure if UPS will accept that claim.... unless i drive back down to nevada and have ups pick it up from there? will ups accept insurance claims when it's from a different address/country? I also threw out the exterior larger box because it was massive, but have the product box that was inside. Does this matter?

instead of waiting for rs'ers to reply in this post...it might be better to contact ups and ask them instead....

u will probably need the tracking number, shipper info, receiver info when you call

someone i know had a wheel repaired under UPS insurance coverage that he had shipped up from the US last year. the seller made arrangements with ups and they came by his house to pick it up, did some sort of investigation and then UPS offered to cover the cost of repairs... maybe things have changed i dunno.

i was more asking about where to fix this locally. I've already contacted ups when making this post.

Their response is because the item is in a different location now and the original packaging is gone, they wont cover it.

The seller offered me partial refund which was nice of him but now still gotta find a repair place or just install it as is with a crack.

I know in the states there are chrome shops that can 're-chrome' plastic. anyone of these shops here? i guess i can puty the crack and have a shop rechrome it.
